I’ve mentioned before how much I love Lagerhaus. For affordable bits and bobs, it’s one of my favorite little stores in Sweden. My current picks are full of geometric shapes, metallic finishes and hints of pale pink and dark green. Such a great color combination. And how cool are those pencils? In Tokyo, we’re still working on setting up our new apartment; how I wish we could just pop down and grab a few of these tiny treasures.

Living in Sweden, I loved the incredible sense of design that can be found everywhere. I would spend hours browsing in all the stores, imagining all the beautiful things I’d buy if my student budget allowed it.
However one place that my budget did allow was Lagerhaus, a homewares store that can be found in most Swedish cities. And while I can’t spend my weekends there anymore, I can still dream.

Back when we were living in the states and traveling a lot for work, I really got into minimalism. I spent my time reading all about the beauty of living with less and slowly found myself reducing my possessions. Our imminent move to Tokyo also had me thinking about how we could go about living in an even smaller space. I discovered the tiny house movement and became obsessed with the idea of living as small as possible. This is a beautiful example of simple living called Minimod.
